Giving Back with LOVE!

Get Rich Savings Club Gives Back

1. Name
1.1 The organisation represented is known as the Get Rich Savings Club.
1.2 The organisation was formed on the 05 January 2013 in Bellville, Cape Town.

2. Objectives
2.1 The organisation's main objective is to collectively save money in a bank as a group for 10-11 months.
2.2 Get Rich Savings Club endeavours to give back to the communities where we as the members live. Our pilot project is called “Keep a girl in school”.

Keep a girl in school

 There are 2.1 million young girls, between the ages of 12 and 18 years, (living below the poverty line in South Africa) who have to resort to using old clothes, rags, newspapers, leaves, bark and grass because they cannot afford sanitary towels.

 The result, according to UNICEF, is that 1 in every 10 schoolgirls in Africa miss classes or drop out of school completely.

 Girls who cannot afford pads or tampons miss approximately five days of school a month, which amounts to 60 missed school days a year.

 The lack of affordable sanitary products for girls and women keeps them at a disadvantage in terms of education when they are young and prevents their mobility and productivity as women.

 Without sanitary products, girls are excluded from their right to an education as stipulated by the Constitution of South Africa.

AIMS

 To enable girls to make a lasting and positive impact on the communities they live in and society as a whole

 They will complete high school, will be less likely to get HIV/AIDS or fall pregnant before 18

 They will likely earn higher wages and successfully educate their own children.

 Members of the Get Rich Savings Club aim to donate sanitary towels to schools in our respective communities on a rotational basis, beginning from mid-March 2014.

10 January 2014

goodbye

I have to leave this behind
Though it tears me up inside
I have to leave you behind
From this dark shadow I cannot hide
It will come for each of us, I know
I cannot escape it, I have to go
To a place of peace and rolling meadows
Search for even the faintest moon glow
And know that wherever you go
That I go with you and eternally adore you

I have to leave this life behind
How it tears me up inside
That I have to leave you behind
From this dark shadow no one can hide
My time has come, I know
It is inevitable, I should let go
Search for your peace in the moon glow
Wherever you are, wherever you go
I eternally adore you right to the core
I am part of you, little one, forever more
